Residential park living FAQs

In appearance, virtually none. Many park homes look like attractively designed, traditionally built bungalows with a pitched roof. The main difference is the method of construction. New residential park homes are usually fully furnished, with modern interiors, good-sized living areas and a separate kitchen with integrated appliances and built-in storage.

Our residential parks are for semi-retired and retired residents over the age of 50, who can enjoy a quality lifestyle in beautiful, peaceful surroundings among like-minded neighbours.

Purchase costs usually compare very favourably, varying with the home chosen and its location. There is great choice within the £50,000–£100,000 range, with prices rising above £250,000 in higher-priced areas. Buying a park home can also release capital tied up in a conventional house.

Yes. Our parks are private, with minimal traffic and a quiet, peaceful environment. Indefinite security of tenure is provided in accordance with the Mobile Homes Acts, with full written details, including a Written Statement, provided before purchase.

The Written Statement is the agreement between the homeowner and the park, setting out the rights and responsibilities of each party. Many of its terms are set by law, including the rules for the annual review of pitch fees, with a tribunal service available in England and Wales in the event of a dispute.

For an older home, or if you have any concerns about a home’s condition, a survey can give reassurance before you proceed. For newer homes, ask the seller about any warranties that apply.
